Dharmasthala
The first temple we visited during our Mangalore spiritual tour is Sri Dharmasthala.
We stayed in BNS residency Mangalore. We started after having our breakfast .
It's about 77 kms from Mangalore to Dharmasthala. We reached in 2 hours by the time we reached it was about 10.30 am it was little drizzling .
It's in the state of karnataka at a distance of about 120 kms from Udupi .
This Temple on the banks of the Netravati River is called Manjunatheshwaralayam.
The temple was built in the 10 BC Anyone having unreasonable court cases will get resolve if they visit and pray before this Swami. That is the power if belief that prevails strong vibrations at this place. The Jains established the Moolavirat in the temple.
Amidst the piety and frolic of the temple town of Dharmasthala, situated at a kilometer from the Manjunatha temple and led by a beautiful pathway, is the majestic shrine of lord Bahubali standing at a height of 39-feet.
This shrine can be reached by climbing steps of the hill for about 20 minutes or by road. The hilltop renders a heart-throbbing view of the temple town Dharmasthala with a lush green background in the mornings and lamp-lit in the nights .The best time for the tourists to visit this statue is in the morning to get away from humidity and sunny weather. On top of the hill, there are shelters and drinking water facilities for the pilgrims.
